What is a Cat?

Archive - August 18, 2008, 10:46
1. Cats do what they want. 2. They rarely listen to you. 3. They’re totally unpredictable. 4. They whine when they are not happy. 5. When you want to play, they want to be alone. 6. When you want to be alone, they want to play. 7. They expect you to cater to their every whim. 8. They’re moody. 9. They leave hair everywhere. 10. They drive you nuts and cost an arm and a leg. Conclusion: They’re tiny women in little fur coats. [via: Tom Phillips] [ph.

"Nit-kellmu bit-toonsi": A guide for foreign visitors

Archive - August 11, 2008, 13:26
Many people seem to reach this site by typing "Tunisian phrases" in search engines. I assume that they are English-speaking travellers who wish to learn survival phrases before they arrive in Tunisia. I am surprised to see that no website offers this basic service in a country that has always been geared towards tourism and trade! Tunisian by the way is a very easy language with few grammar rules and a rich vocabulary. It is derived from classical Arabic and, for obvious geopolitical reasons, h.

Back to blogging again an eager for a new life!!

Archive - July 20, 2008, 15:33
I don’t know how many times, I stopped blogging then start another blog and changed a template. That’s amazing, even my blog title is the comeback. My last bill, on July 12th, was just to test how to write to a blog from a mobile device. During the last period, I wanted to write about many topics; Tunisiana and its services, Mosaique fm 100 thousands dinars to win, my new job, environmental noise caused by weddings every night or to comment on what I am reading on tn-blogs. But, at each time.

Mr. Meddah in his article here had summed up his trip to Morocco in 4 points: 1- He presented material about Emerging Technologies for Citizen Journalists. 2- He thought it was awesome to meet so many interesting people in one place. 3- He visited Bab Marrakech and couldn’t visit Hassan II Mosque. 4- Royal Air Maroc was beyond his expectation and his flight to Morocco was a lot better then his Air France flights between Tunis and Paris. While it would be foolhardy to assert that I, as a.

Sorry it took me a while to post the video. I needed to edit it first…  I had to learn how to edit videos and I did a pretty good job! well, you can be the judge. About the interview, I asked Dr. Fayyad about Yahoo and its rival Google, we also tackled the issue of technology and the Arab world and we ended it with a message from Dr. Fayyad to Tunisia I will post later the full 40 minute unedited version where he talked more about Yahoo and Data Mining. Enjoy the video! .

The aim of this blog is to create a melting pot of .

Blogging in Arabic, English or both?

Archive - August 12, 2007, 18:24
I started this blog about a couple of years ago, but I didn't really write much. I was posting roughly about an article per two months. One question which keeps coming to me is: which language should I use to write? Being an Arab, I'm supposed to write in Arabic. Being in the UK, it made sense to write in English. Actually, as a Tunisian, it wasn't entirely odd for me to write in French even. Most of my writing went in English because I felt like I needed to tell the West so many things, not ab.

[BLOG] YouTube! Encore une limite :-(

Archive - August 9, 2007, 14:57
How long/large can my video be? All videos uploaded to YouTube have a 100MB file size limit. The longer the video is, the more compression will be required to fit it into that size. For that reason, most videos on YouTube are under five minutes long and there is a 10-minute length limit for all videos. Can I upload videos that are longer than 10 minutes? You can no longer upload videos longer than ten minutes regardless of what type of account you have. Users who had previously been allowe.

To the Unfair tyrant

It’s interesting to see an Aboul-Qacem Echebbi’s poem translated into English. No wonder that Wikipedia makes such an effort. I have already translated the same poem into English and French one year and half ago, but I don’t have the skill of writing in poetic English. In the poem “To the Unfair Tyrant”, the Tunisian young [...].

Me and my soul...

Archive - February 26, 2007, 19:00
Oneday, in the morning, I tried to talk to my soul. I always feared this conversation. I knew there were things to discover, but I was sure that there was nothing to be changed. I was convinced I was a good person. I thought I was leading the life I chose to have. I believed myself to be satisfied with my personality and spent my teens convincing myself to be so. Today, I want to have a look at the person I am, but from a different side, from outside. What are the habits I have? The  kin.

In the physics exam of the BAC, the students were asked to find out the mathematical expression according to time of a quantity ,  a, (alpha) and then the expression of another quantity , g,(gamma).. Then , they were asked to prove that alpha equals gamma        ( a = g) when the time  t= 3 seconds ( 3..if my memory is not .

It's a new canadian show on CBC ,  for the first time , " Little Mosque on the Prairie" gets the viewer involved with the muslims' lives in a common way, showing all the diversity that might be among the islamic community, whether it is about ideas or lifestyles..At least, the world clearly gets the message : " muslims are people who have similarities to other human-beings" not just fighters hiding here and there to frighten any western citizens.. I think it helps release,.
