It was only to be expected! Libya is said to be embarking on a massive deportation scheme which will affect a million African migrants who were hoping to make it to the other side of the Mediterranean. It might go ahead with it or not, but even if it doesn't, what kind of future can these people look forward to? What appalls me more is the EU’s tacit consent and encouragement of mass expulsion pratices. The European stance on the issue of migration has been quite clear: every possible security measure must be taken to prevent Africans, even those who are only exercising their fundamental ri.
